Hyatt Regency Boston Donates Over 500 Pairs of Shoes in Honor of One Boston Day

Hyatt Regency Boston donated over 502 pairs of shoes to St. Francis House, a neighborhood homeless shelter for men and women, in honor of One Boston Day, a day to encourage random acts of kindness and the spread of goodwill throughout the city.

Throughout the month of April, Hyatt Regency Boston requested donations of new or gently worn men’s sneakers, sizes 10 through 14, which the clothing department at St. Francis House indicated was an item in great demand.

Hyatt Regency Boston is proud to announce that they have reached their goal of 502 pairs of shoes, one for every guestroom in the hotel, with the help of neighbors, community leaders, local businesses and many more.

Barry’s Boot Camp, Shake Shack, the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation, the Boston Celtics, the New England Revolution, Roads Scholar, Carbonite, as well as many individuals that walked through Hyatt Regency Boston’s doors to donate shoes.

St. Francis House provides rehabilitative and housing programs for poor and homeless men and women, supporting 500-600 people each day and serving up to 800 meals per day, 365 days a year. St. Francis House is the largest day shelter in the Commonwealth.
